I'm a student in Prague. Self-taught, both the code and the photography, which mostly means I learned things in the wrong order and had to go back.
Bystanek is not a company and I'm not its founder. It's a handful of sites I build because I like building them. Nobody's paying for it and there's no plan behind it beyond finishing the next thing.
The software and the photographs come from the same place. Rollbook exists because I couldn't remember what was in the camera. Phototools exists because I got tired of doing the same arithmetic twice.
Being outside. Spring especially, then hiking, camping, mountains, forests, rivers. Anything with moving water in it.
Blue-green. Teal, if you want the short word. It's on most of what I make and I'm not sorry.
Free culture, and not being watched. I'd rather use the thing that doesn't track me even when it's worse.
Bedroom pop, dream pop, some jazz, some electronic. Most of it ends up in one playlist: Golden Hour Ride.
Black and white I develop myself. Colour goes to a lab.
